PRESS RELEASE: Metaverse Media on Hiatus

Posted by Simon Lameth on November 2, 2006

SECOND LIFE - The company Metaverse Media announced today that beginning immediately the entire company will be placed on hiatus due to the C.E.O. Simon Lameth taking a vacation from the game. “I’ve really had enough of Second Life for right now. It’s become so slow that it gets to the point that there is no reason to continue playing.” said Lameth.

Lameth also cited the recent Island Sim price hike and the limited announcement that Linden Labs, the creators of Second Life, gave out to certain companies as a reason for taking a vacation from the game. He also said that he would be back by December for the new awards show in development by his company to be held at the end of the year.

He also wanted to make clear that there is no other reason he is taking a vacation. “It has nothing to do between me and anyone else.”

The Metaverse Media Building in Areumdeuli will continue to be open to the public. He also said that if anyone needed to get in contact with him to email him at metaversemedia@gmail.com.

The Second Life Times will be open during the hiatus with limited updates and news coming off of the Official Blog and other news sources.
