Q and A: What would you ask a SL Military?

Note: Please ensure that you see the article on the SL Militia, Sparta: Its-a-good-year-to-be-a-spartan
During a recent meeting, it was suggested that I take up questions from you, the readers, on questions to ask SL Militaries. Ask any personalized questions towards a particular military that you would like to see answered, or any generalized questions that you want all to answer. Either leave them here or IM me on SL. My SL name is Areth Gall. I’ll try to take at least some of these into consideration when I go to interview.

I would like to know why Bruno Ziskey has fallen to the AN, constantly obeying their every order. It makes me cry to know that Bruno, who leads what may be the most powerful group in SL sometime in the future, and yet he follows the wishes of the AN like a dog. Sparta even has land now, and yet I, who originally created Sparta, am not allowed on it. Doesnt that figure? The creator is being banished by the monster. All I wanted to do was to destroy the AN, thus bringing peace to SL. So Bruno, why is it that you have to stoop so low as to be a willing slave to the AN? And why the hell does your armor look so AN-ish? Mayhap Sparta is becoming another clone of the AN. Not surprising in the least.

While not specifically targetted at any one military, I would like to know why some people vow to ‘Destroy the AN’ and ‘Bring Peace to the Grid’. I would like to know if they honestly think that this will work in the desired way. I would like to know how they intend to accomplish this, considering that all of the attempts so far have turned out as collossal faliures. Furthermore, I would like to know why more people don’t consider alliance. Look at Sparta. All they were with Ares at the helm was another random group that, infamously, gave the Alliance Navy a 1 year deadline. Again, a complete faliure. Once Bruno Ziskey took over, however, the group formed their now-controversial alliance and prospered like never before. What was once simply another hole in the road has become a major player in Second Life warfare, due to the combined efforts of their new leader and their new allies.
Why don’t more people consider this?

In my experience, those 75% of the groups that are against the AN (and their leaders have terrible grammar and spelling and cant find the capslock key.) vow to destroy the AN because they were turned down or ousted for breaking their protocols or griefed. Titan Industries has several former members of the AN who left, and many of those people, (i’m not naming any names) are the ones that provide the AN uniforms and armor that opposition groups use to defame the AN.
It is a deplorable act to try to wear ANY opposition’s uniform and tag to discredit them or give them a bad name (if you want an example, just listen to the news about several raids in Iraq made by insurgents)
As for destroying the AN, it wont happen because whenever the words Alliance Navy comes up in an article you have Mister Bryant, or Mister Artizar that either gives them a reason to exist, or the drive to bring themselves over the negative comments.
If you don’t like them being around, just stop trying, go do something productive, or even fun. I’m sure that you’re having a blast throwing mud on their image, but thats all it is. Mud, it washes away just like everything else.

Ares I am ashamed to even acknowedge your presence here. The AN are full of good people, all willing to fight to the end, same as any of my Spartans. I have seen that every group who vows to destroy the AN is indeed, as mentioned by the educated people above, nothing more than children who think that the AN is just another person they can beat on since it’s impersonal:everyone’s on key boards and not meeting in RL. I would love to meet some of the leaders of griefer groups like the Grand Federation and SL commandos and see how old they really are. I doubt many, if any, of them can even drive yet. If they can drive, they seriously need their brains checked.
Sparta is not a “slave” to the AN Ares, and we never will be. We enjoy their company, and I am fortunate enough to have many friends in the AN. It is people like you Ares who will remain forever alone and friendless, striving for a goal that is impossible and ridiculous.

To be the first to comment within the bounds that this Article was written, I would like to ask a few questions to all militaries.
1. What are the reasons you created your military. Was it a roleplay kind of thing, or was it you were fed up with griefers, or was it like some people and you just want to think you can destroy a virtual army?
2. what do you plan to do when you get tired of the virtual military?
3. How do you still show respect to those who actually do actually serve in the military and not make a mockery of them? (i know that many SL militaries have been made by people who are computer nerds that played halo or ghost recon, or that they listen to what the news tells them. Or that they created a military to organize a group that seems to have a purpose, but they really just like to cause havoc and disturb other peoples fun.)
Note: I dont want an answer from these idiots like Jamesbi Bryant who is probably going to say. “HELO, WE R CUMING 4 YOU AN.” those kinds of people are already on my ignore list.

A finally a person with real questions. I’d love to answer them.
1. Originally, Sparta was created by Ares Artizar, on the Brunou Ziskey account (as the current user of the Bruno Ziskey account, i stole it from the person who is now Ares Artizar, hes my cousin in RL) to destroy the “evil” AN.
However, I saw how this was false, as when I took the account and went to Tethys, I met two AN personnel: Architect Jarrico and Avena Marshall. In talking with these two, I discovered the obvious: the AN is NOT evil. After that, I made peace with the AN, and started to turn Sparta into more of a role-play group.
Our story is that the year is now about 3124, we were forced to leave Earth hundreds of years ago due to wars with other nations, but not before we cut out Mt. Olympus from the ground and turned it into a mobile space mountain ship. This is of course if Sparta had actually survived to even present day, but bare with me.
As Spartans, we live by the Spartan codes of honor and history, and we immerse ourselves in greek life and culture. Many of our ranks, weapons and vehicle names are greek named/themed. Our Drakon Pulse Rifle for instance, or our Aegis Space Superiority Fighter.
2. Get tired of playing soldier? Hmm…good question, I guess I’ll just leave Sparta in the hands of a new Spartan King.
3. Showing respect for those in the RL military. Well, being in Annapolis myself, I have a very healthy respect for anyone who’s in the real military. We allow them in our group with great honor, and give them a home to live at/defend. I cannot stomach the very idea, but it it true that some people do lie about being in RL military, something i consider to be either very stupid or dishonorable, as we are people who are willing to lay down our lives so that our family, friends, and fellow countrymen may live. To lie about being in the RL military, especially if you’re not even planning to ever join the RL military, is hateful to me, and I can’t stand to talk to anyone who would do such a thing. In Sparta, we do our best to make sure that we do not dishonor the sacrifice that others have made in the name of freedom.
Any other questions, please feel free to ask.

I agree with Bruno every person I have met who hates AN are 14 year old Dutch boys.
Everyone know the AN will win anyway.
